Town picked to test Pet Responsibility Plan
JOHN CHAPPELL: Robbins Welcomes Chance to Test Pet Responsibility Plan
Southern Pines Pilot, NC - July 15, 2006
[Excerpt]
Last week, Angela Zum-walt told the Town Board that a coalition of county agencies, organizations, and groups concerned about animals picked Robbins to set an example for the whole county in tackling a problem facing everybody.
"Moore County is facing a pet overpopulation crisis," Zumwalt told the board during a special early session called to hear her presentation. "The county shelter and other volunteer shelters are buckling under the pressure."
It is a matter of life and death for homeless dogs and cats.
