Contain Cats! (wherever possible*)

Cat Shed! Posted by Hello

Cat containment can take many forms both indoors and out, from fenced-in sanctuaries and yards to simply using room doors within a home!

One option was this 8 x 10 foot shed, used until various cats could live permanently inside my home. This shed was built from a kit I purchased. It is customized with the small window in front and a ‘picture’ window spanning the entire width in back. There are carpeted perches under each window. Lovely forest, bird and wildlife views! Originally a remnant of indoor-outdoor carpet was installed. Later it was replaced with a sheet of vinyl flooring upon foster-then-adoption of a cat labeled "goes outside litter box." But -- that cat fastidiously used the litter boxes!

* Note: Cat 'owners' should be incentivized to contain cats in homes and yards. Because there are presently too many, unowned cats must be cared for through Trap-Neuter-RETURN programs and allowed to remain in their existing outdoor areas wherever possible.
