[From Lana - thank you!]
Merrillville, NW Indiana - Neuter Scooter - Nov 2 & 3
Please help us pass the word! CAll 219-924-4118 (local) for more
info or to make an appointment or go to www.neuterscooter.com . Please feel free to forward/crosspost this info and print it up to put on
bulletin boards in stores, libraries, laundry mats,
subdivision/trailer park clubhouses, etc.
The neuter scooter will be in Merrillville IN on Sunday Nov. 2 and
Monday Nov. 3 doing $40 spay/neuters (including distemper/rabies
shots) for cats only. Kittens can be spayed/neutered as early as 6
weeks (rabies shots will only be given to those 12 weeks and older;
same price with or without shots). Optional services that are NOT
required that will be offered: feline leukemia and FIV tests, feline
leukemia shots, Frontline flea treatment ($10 each), ear cleaning
($15), ear mite meds ($5).
True feral cats (cats that can't be handled and that will be released
back outside) that come in live traps will be given a half price
discount, making the cost only $20! (The vet techs will decide if
they are truly ferals at check in.) Live Traps can be rented (you
leave a deposit and then get it back when you return the trap) from
most towns and county animal controls or bought at Home Depot, Lowes,
Tractor Supply, Farm and Fleet for $25-$40.
This is a great chance to get the outdoor feral cats around your home
spayed/neutered (so they don't reproduce, become ill or fight/breed)
at a very low cost! (Trap/neuter/return -- TNR).
So, if you have any whole kits, cats of your own, know people who
have whole kits/cats, or know of any feral cats needing to be TNR'd,
this is the time to do it!
